Dr. Hyman is well-known for his medical advice, nutritional information, and (perhaps most of all) his sales ability. Sort of reminds me of Dr. Gundry — not sure whether his advice is good, but damn, can that man SELL.
Apparently this is a re-release of an earlier publication. Still lots of good info on the relationship between food and health and the role of both the pharmaceutical industry and agribusiness in what we eat, which seems to be a huge (maybe the biggest) factor in health. I am not a fan of MAHA (or MAGA) so I sort of skip over anything that heads in that direction. Sadly, most medical personnel have virtually NO education or training around nutrition, so part of me thinks anything that helps educate people about this area is good. For me, this book was just meh. Three stars.
